Welcome to the Orlando Pool Tour. I live in a unique city, Orlando, which is home to many theme parks, attractions and resorts. As a fun feature on my website, I will be doing a photo tour of some of the pools in the top Orlando resorts. If you are from outside the Orlando area and are thinking of vacationing here, the Orlando Pool Tour should give you great insight into the poolside views found in and around the Orlando attractions. If you are an Orlando resident in search of assistance with pool service and repair, please contact me and let me know how I can help you. As you will see, swimming pools are not just my job, they are my passion and I would love to help you maintain your pool. Now on with the start of our Orlando Pool Tour:
Walt Disney World’s Saratoga Spring’s Resort and Spa, High Rock Spring Pool
Walt Disney World’s Saratoga Spring’s Resort and Spa is “inspired by historic Saratoga Springs—a late-1800s’ New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing—this charming, Victorian-style Resort hotel is nestled between rolling golf course greens and the shimmering Village Lake.” It has two feature pools, the High Rock Spring Pool and The Paddock Pool, and two additional pool and spa areas in The Grandstand and Congress Park guest areas. This post will focus on the High Rock Spring Pool and I will tour the other pools in subsequent posts.
Walt Disney World describes the High Rock Spring Pool area as follows:
“Delight in cascading waterfalls, a zero-depth entry point and a waterslide built into the rocks. Children can splash through bubbling geysers at the Donald Duck play area and glide down the pint-sized waterslide.”
This is the main swimming area for the resort and on a sunny day it is full of activity. It is located adjacent to the main eating area, the Spa, the Arcade and Community Hall. There is something for everyone to enjoy here. With plenty of chairs for lounging, a spa and a bar adults can enjoy a leisurely day at the pool. For families looking for fun with their kids, there is a fun waterslide and pool-side activities led by the staff. There is a zero-depth entry with fountains that is great for little kids and sun bathing while still enjoying the cool of the pool. There is also a splash pad and mini slide for the littlest of kids to enjoy. In the evenings, they blow up an inflatable movie screen and play a fun family feature.
As a Disney Vacation Club member, my family and I have spent many happy days enjoying all that the High Rock Spring Pool has to offer.
